Liwonde National Park, Malawi

Admittedly, Malawi is not the preeminent place for safaris in Africa, however, if you are staying in Malawi and would like to take such an excursion, this is the place to go. The most interesting part of this camp is that it does not have electricity; a generator is used to cook food and the guests live by candlelight. Fear not, it’s an experience of a lifetime! The camp includes a lodge with private rooms, a dormitory of bunk beds, and individual tents. The camp has the following activities to choose from: game drive, night drive, walking safari, boat trip, and a canoe safari. The average costs of these trips is $20 US per person. You might see elephant, kudu, impala, hippo, crocodile, and various other animals! Meals are fairly cheap, all you can eat, and delicious! The alcohol in the fully stocked bar is kept cold by a car battery.
